New Dumbo

So I went to check this local pet store I've never been to and they had great looking bettas, like amazing looking dragonscale veiltails, but this big ear betta caught my eye. He was clearly labeled dumbo on his cup but the woman working there must've not known much about bettas and said he was a normal male and charged me the price of a normal veiltail. I'm pretty sure he's an SD though

Very lovely fish! Brilliant colors!

And he sure does not look like an average veiltail

I'm thinking of naming him Gastly, Look at the shiny Gastly,

His face is red like Gastly's mouth, his body is a pale purple like Gastly's head, and his fins are a pale blue like the gas

that's an adorable name! he looks like a long finned version of my own big ear, Hiccup!

as a note, don't be surprised if his 'ears' get ripped up. x: it's common in them. just keep his water clean, and he'll be fine.

Really? is that common? one of the fins has a tear in it when I got him, I used stress coat in the water to see if it would heal up better though

from what i've seen, it can be. x: my own big ear had some rips in his 'ears' when i got him. they're pretty normal to me, now, so i don't know if they've healed any x-x
