Can anyone tell me? (not sure if this belongs here btw XD)

I apologize if this wouldn't be posted here lol.

Well, today I'm heading to my local Petsmart to pick out a new Betta. (my other one was upgraded)

So, does Petsmart only have vieltails? Because I would like to get a Half-moon or a Dragonscale.

--thanks!

It depends on location. In general PetSmart sells Vt and CT and HM. I'm in Eastern Canada, that's all they sell here. I think people on the forum get their dragons at petco. But PetSmart does usually have HM's :)Be sure to post pics!

Thanks! And great, I really wanted a Half-moon, well simply because I find them very pretty. And of course, once he is settled I'll be sure to get some shots of em' :)

Just my opinion, if you're looking for certain type of betta and not just a "rescue", maybe try to contact a breeder nearby?

Most of the halfmoons at petsmart are delta or super delta tails. I've only seen true half moons at petco, but maybe your petsmart will carry better stock than mine. I will say I've seen some really pretty crowntails and double tails at my location.

IME petsmart labels deltas and super deltas as halfmoons all the time, but for the most part they are true halfmoons. So yes, they carry types other then veiltails. Why not petco though?
