She's a female Veiltail I promised to pick up three days ago if she was still alive. Got my paycheck, which got me enough to buy a new heater and a plant for her temporary tank, and she was still alive (albeit worse condition). She has obvious fin rot, amonia burns, and some bloating. I'm not sure if it's just her being backed up or if it's going to be leading to dropsy. Either way, I treated her with Epsom Salts and will do a 100% water change tomorrow and repeating the process. I figured i'd treat her for the bloating first rather than the fin rot because from my experience it progresses faster.
Am I doing this right, is there any precautions I should take with it? Also, it's not possible to jack up the heat because it's an automatic heater. I have a thermostat and will be monitoring it closely. When should I start treating her for her fin rot (I have Aquarium Salt), and how long should I keep the Epsom Salts treatment going?
