Getting two new takns

I am getting two new 5 gallon minibows for my two that got left in my office...as I posted previously one was little and beat up and the girl is HUGE...so I have them in a temporary crappy tank and I am getting them each a 5 Gallon..I have the nano filters, heaters ,etc. Should I use thier water and gravel ( they have only beeen in there for 2 weeks) or get new gravel and use aged water only?

Have you already bought the 5 gallons? I ask because you may want to consider a 10 gallon divided instead. You will have a much easier time keeping the tank cycled and the water parameters will be more stable.

Interesting you should say that as I was just sitting here considering that very fact...One 10 Gallon instead of 2 five gallon is a great idea..

i dont know about the prices where you are but down here at walmart they have a 10 gallon for $9.95, without top, and the top is like 15, so thats not really bad. Unless you want to find a used one, just thinking out loud

I work in a Chemistry/Biology Lab ...Biio has many spare aquarium parts so I could get a hood , light etc..I have extra Heaters all I would need is the tank..I would not use a tank from here...and they have dividers at Petsmart for @$8.00..I think I'll go with the 10 Gallon..Thanks Guys
