My baby betta :)

I started a thread on the journal page more for my own organizational purposes and to chronicle the changes I see, but thought I'd share some photos of my little sweetie. (And in case you don't read my journal entry, I do have a 3 gallon tank, filter, heater, etc. I've been thoroughly doing my research - that said, I came home from school this weekend and had to transport him in the most feasible way I could!)

S/he loves to flare, dart around like a nut, beg for food, and attack its reflection at times. And s/he is starting to get royal blue coloration! If it's a girl, her name is Lily (it's Easter time!) and if it's a boy, it's Altair (because I love Assassin's Creed, lol).

I will try to add more photos tomorrow as I have to get ready for church shortly. :)

Day 1:

Day 4 (yesterday):

Also, any ideas as to tail type and color? The dark spots on the anal and dorsal fins are actually a royal blue color and the color is growing larger each day...

I think it is a female crowntail!! and she looks a little bloated so maybe you should feed her a little less and fast her for a few days!!

Thanks! Yeah, I'm cutting down on her food lol. She fattened up very quickly after the pet store.
