Is this Giant Melano female infertile most likely or fertile & carries Melano gene?

Is this Giant Melano female infertile most likely or fertile & carries Melano gene? I don't own her yet but if shes most likely fertile, I am going to purchase her.

From everything I've read, all melano black females are infertile. If you want to breed for melano black, you have to use a female carrier of melano black gene.

Yeah she looks melano to me so shes infertile. You could ask the breeder for a sibling thats not melano, then that would be a fertile carrier

She looks to be a boy in the picture.. I see too large of a tail and dorsal, too long of ventrals and too big of a beard to say it's a girl. Almost positive it's a boy. But then again, the picture is very tiny... but just by looking at what I stated, and the obvious tail (a poor HM) it's a boy.

Not all melano females are infertile. There is a very tiny percentage of fertile females . . . . but which one? You can't spot them and you won't know until you breed her. So I wouldn't "buy" a female melano. It's better to cross them to other colors, like Super Black for example (if you want to ensure more black result) or blue (a more commonly used cross).

Actually shes not a male just great big fins! I'm not going to gamble on her being fertile at odds 100 to 1, so I guess I'll go with a dark blue female or if I could ever find a giant melano genotype female. Thanks Everybody for the help!
