Hellooo, fishkeepers. I'm a new member, obviously. So, I'm a student, living with the family as most students usually do [Unless they're in college!] I have lots of cats - there were these feral cats, see, and we decided to feed them, so the one female decided to, well, increase the population - and therefore, we don't have a fish at the moment. :c
HOWEVER; We DID have a fishy once. A purple/blue/red veil-tail betta fish. Man, that poor fish. We'd gotten it from a friend when I was five; we had NO idea how to take care of it. It lived for about eight years in a half-gallon bowl with nothing but confetti gravel and weekly water changes. TTnTT I'd go to fishy heaven right now to tell that fish how sorry we are for not taking care of him right.
But, i've learned quite a bit from here, recently. Like how bettas need heaters, and a minimum of 2.5 gallons and places to hide. So, I decided to join this forum, and discuss bettas too! I've already seen a few threads with questions I could have answered and no one else did, so I just thought, what the heck.
That's about it!
[By the way, I can't promise I'll be very active. Y'know, no actual fish, but maybe I can convince the parents...]
