Sad to say but

My male betta has been diagnosed with dropsy.. Not bloat!!! He looks like a pink pine cone and he is stuck pointing downward. He doesn't look like he is going to last much long.... Hopefully my other male doesn't get it. Pray!

Aw, I'm sorry! :( I had a goldfish that came down with dropsy, it's tough to deal with.

If your boys are sharing a tank you may want to move the healthy one out, I've heard dropsy can travel throughout a tank! Have you tried giving him salt baths? It didn't work for my Goldie, but some have had success with it.
