How to choose breed stock?

Hi guys,

I'm going to grab a male betta from aquabid from aquastar71. I noticed that he puts that a sibling female can be had.. Is that for breeding purposes? I'd like a nice pair to breed in the next month or two. Seller say that he's about 3.7 months old..

I know aqua star is a reputable seller, but is it a good idea to breed his fish??

I'm walking the dog so I can't upload a pic of the fish.

I haven't heard of any breeder's fish not worth breeding, not Aquastar anyway. But in general, it depends on the individual fish in question. So we will need pictures to tell you what is or isn't worth breeding - if you want to produce as good a quality as possible.
