Help me identify my new betta? ^^

So I went to 405 Tropical Fish store to get some IAL. I happen to look at the bettas and spotted this gorgeous fellow:

^
Bought him for $5 and they had him listed as "Dragon Skin" which I'm not sure what they mean...I think he's a Elephant Ear Plakat, but I could be wrong so does anybody know what he really is? In person he's purplish-pinkish-redish with white on the tips of this fins. Any help is much appreciated!

Well it look like it could be hmpk and probably is as most EE with that coloring are hmpk and not normal pk. But I could be wrong. Do you know if it is male or female.

I'm pretty sure male, because I put him next to my other betta and he started flaring at him

Would you be able to get a picture of it flaring? I'd love to see its spread. And it could help me out more

I think that pattern is called salamander butterfly but I am no expert. He is very pretty nonetheless and I hope you get a lot of years with him.
