New Betta

I just got a Betta, his name is Chaotic, he's blue, silver and black but how do i know what kind he is?? Also, i got him from Wal-Mart(i know cheap) but he just wouldn't stop looking at me now i love him and want more. They kept saying he's a cold water fish, How can i make sure he is very happy?? Should i always put other males in separate tanks. Is there any thing live that he likes to eat??

betta's are warm water fish not cold. follow the advice on that thread but get a heater goldfish are coldwater fish not betta's

ME TOO! I just now heard a similar story and when I told this person otherwise they ARGUED with me.....I guess I'll end up with 2 more sick Bettas in about a month or so............

Did they actually say that? Walmart is retarded about fish. I was just hanging out around the fish while my mom was shopping and i happend to be looking at goldfish. One was eating another's eyeball! They were both alive! I asked the guy who worked there to take the victum fish out and put it into the other tank. He didn't really understand me. I'm not sure if he spoke english. Then he took the net and started poking the fish! I looked to the surface of the water and there were like five dead eyeless fish floating! Who is going to buy that? Walmart is dumb. I'm sorry they gave you false info.
