Is this a tumor?

A friend of mine has a 10 gallon sorority which has her girls, and her roommates. This one girl belongs to her roommate, and for the last month or so, I noticed she has a little bump on her side. It started small at first, but it's gotten a bit bigger and it looks like a tumor.

I don't have any tank details, but from what I know, everything is ookay.

Here is a picture of her side where you can see the bump

Any ideas?

Check with a vet don't want it to be some disease to spread around and kill all of them.

The thing is that it doesn't seem to be one of the diseases on here, and it looks like her side is sticking out :/

Plus, I don't think she's going to want to go to the vet for a single betta. If it's to the point where she can kill the other fish, then she'll just be separated.

That appears to be a the muscle that controls the tail, all bettas have it. Don't worry.and even if it was a tumor, you wouldn't qt because rumors aren't contagious.

alcemistnv, my betta's has always been visible like that. also like your friend's betta, he's very light colored, so maybe it's just that we can see it protruding more easily when the betta is semi-translucent against light like this. either that or it's just a kind of body shape.
