Lighting Makes a DIFFERENCE!!

So, I have 2 10g tanks side by side with stock light hoods. I decided to upgrade the bulbs - OH MY WORD!! Unfortuantely, I only bought two bulbs not realizing what a difference they were going to make, the pic doesn't really do it justice. When I went back to the store they only had one bulb left so I changed the bulb in my 5.5g & will have to wait for the other 10g tank.

Outstanding example of the difference in lighting. Believe me, your plants will reward you with new growth!

Wow.. it looks much livelier! I know in npt contests, it's a good idea to have two different light bulbs with different color spectrums. Supposedly, the ones more for plants help to show off the plants (as well as give them the needed light) while the more lower kelvin bulbs help to show off your fish and objects in your tank to help bring out warmer tones. I know some people don't like using bulbs for plants because of how pale it makes things look... but yeah, I thought you'd like to know that just for the sake of knowing ^.^;
Your tank looks great and I can't wait to see how your other one looks once you change your bulb!

I would much rater have the tank with the new bulb than the old. The old one looks well like its depressing and dirty brown

Thanks everyone for the comments. The new bulbs are Aqueon 50/50, here is the link to the bulbs in the tank on the left.

Originally I was going to change out just one bulb in each tank, which I did, but once I saw the huge difference I had to do both bulbs.

Just avoid what I did by screwing the bulb in too tight and breaking the bulb. Poof, $10 gone

Wow, what a nice change!
I am partial to natural lit tanks though, I find the old bulb tank simply gorgeous! But I find the new bulb one pretty in it's vibrancy. :)
