Like I said its weird as hell.....right now he's fluttering around like crazy....and then the next second he's on the bottom like he's about to go....can anybody explain this this to me??? He's been doing this for the past 30 minutes..as I type , the fins are going crazy and he's swimming rapidly....5 minutes ago I thought he was dead.
Can somebody answer my question, I don't want to be rude but I just don't want him to die :(

I think that could be an indication he's having trouble breathing. That's the reason a long container rather than a tall one was suggested. He needs to be able to easily reach the surface for air.

They need air to breathe, so he is probably struggling up for that. Also possible that the systemic fungus is causing pain/seizures/etc.

You really need to take some of the suggested steps very quickly, or he will die. A big shallow plastic food container from the grocery store is really low cost, a .99 thermometer, a heater, some aquarium salt, some Jungle Fungus Clear.

I totally hear you about it being a lot more than you expected, or can afford. If you really can't, you can't. Hopefully, you can find these things in time.

there's really not much to do about it with the materials you have on hand, he's understandably pretty distressed and probably feeling gross and itchy and sick. bettas eventually get stressed out by constant light too, but it's still better to have it on and heating your container than to leave it cold. just try and get him in better conditions asap, but it may be too late, sounds like he already had something at the store. :( try wrapping a towel around the bowl to keep more warmth in.

edit: ^^great idea on the tupperwear container, just make sure you use a new one and not one that's been washed with soap- it stays in the plastic and can harm fish.

So I threw a little bit of the Jungle Fungus Clear in there and got a thermometer ( 76 degrees).

How long would it take to see the difference, if he gets better?

did you do a water change on him before medicating? that would have helped.

keep that lamp on him and cover one half of the top with a small towel or old shirt so he can hide from the brightness of it if he wants.

76 is a little low, but not bad. Perfect is around 80, but the real issue is temperature that fluctuates. Try and keep it around 76.

Did you measure the dose of Jungle Fungus Cure?
