Meet Dr. Bubble Joe

I wanted to introduce Dr. Bubble Joe, he's our office mascot. Ive been curious because I've noticed since I first got him he's lost color on his face. When I first found him his face looked "dirty" but now is clear and has turned more blueish then turquoise. The first picture is of him about the 2nd day I had him and the last two I took today. Could someone tell me what pattern/color he is? I looked up marbles and idk if he fits that, he seems to fit being a piebald but who knows.

He's marbling. He might stabilize like he is or he could continue to change his whole life. I have three marbles, two are constantly changing, one is pretty stable now.

Thank you guys :) Like I said I wasn't totally sure since I'm fairly new to bettas, I had no idea that there were so many different kinds. I thought it was maybe stress since I upgraded him from a 1.2 gallon to a 3 gallon, every time I looked at him in the 1 gallon tank I felt so bad since its so small. But the 3 gallon is the most that I can get away with at work :/ I did also add 2 ghost shrimp which he chased around for about the first hour, he's a feisty little guy :) But I'm glad to know that he's just marbling and nothing serious, everyone at work has fallen in love with him, he has quite a few fans in our clinic :)

Piebald is actually part of the Marble coloration, many Piebalds I find to be more stable though so he'll likely stay how he is in the last picture there ^_^ I used to have one that looked very similar to him as well, gorgeous fish!

He's lovely! My guy started out as a grizzle but now has very similar coloring to yours.

One thing I love about him is he looks like he has a black eye on the right side. He has a darker ring of black around that eye and its just fitting since he's so feisty..LoL
I think I'm pretty lucky I found him at petsmart
