Good or Bad?

Hello, tomorrow (04/13/13) I am going to the pet store for supplies. I am bring $75 with me but I am returning a tank and a heater so that gives me another extra $35.

Tank: Aqueon Evolve 4 http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...AvailInUS%2FNo
Heater: Hydor Theo 50 Watt http://www.petco.com/product/116663/...pplies_Heaters
Sand: CaribSea Aquarium Substrate http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...AvailInUS%2FNo
Plastic Canvas for Divider and a Floating 'log' http://www.joann.com/darice-stiff-pl...prd_01971233a/
^^ Is there 7 pieces?
If I find a Betta that is in an okay condition and looks fantastic. I will get it.
Moss ball?
Silk plants for cover.
Bloodworms for a snack and Omega Buffet Pellets

Anything else important I should get? I planning on adding a sponge onto the outflow so it isn't that string and I don't get tension on the top. Thanks. Feedback appreciated!!

I would not divide this tank. It is really around three gallons (the rest is a filter and pump area), and it is vertical space not length. Save that money for live plants, NLS, a liquid test kit, or silk plants.

I wouldn't get the fis yet. You need to cycle a tank before adding any fish.

@VJM Are you telling me to ditch the tank? Should I get one of those critter keepers instead and make my own sponge filter?
@JellOh I already have Boxxer (The Betta) I'm just returning the tank 'cause I bought the wrong one :/
@StarFish1 NLS Pellets it is. (If I find them) Forgot about the thermometer. Will add that to list.

MOAR Suggestions please!!

I like this set of silk plants at petsmart. (Link)

Walmart has this tank for 30$. It's similar to the tank you have on this, so if you decide you want a smaller tank, I highly recommend it. It's also 3 gallons. (Link)

If you're going to a petsmart, they don't carry NLS but they have omega one betta buffet which is a great alternative

@AkaRyu I like the silk plants and probably will get it. I'm looking more towards a 3+ gallon tank. I hope to divide my tank so my boys get atleast above 1.5 gallons or more.

If you're gonna be dividing the tank why not go with a 10 gallon? That way the bettas will have plenty of room and you will have room to put lots of plants and decorations.... 3 gallon would be better for just one betta

I would not use that tank for two bettas. It has poor dimensions for that (high, not long). In my opinion, 2.5g is the minimum per fish. A 5+ gallon tank will hold a cycle more reliably, as well.
