Using gloves while cleaning tank

As a organ transplant patient, it is a constant struggle to stay away from bacteria and infections. My transplant team wasn't happy to learn of my new fish tank and said I MUST wear protective gloves when cleaning the tank. Does anyone know of any gloves that won't hurt my fish and protect me as well?

These may be a little heavy duty for what you need, but it will definitely serve your purpose perfectly. I have a friend who works as a saltwater tank maintainer (going to offices and homes to clean tanks), and he's allergic to shellfish. He uses these gloves because otherwise if he has a tiny cut on his hand and sticks his hand in any of those tanks he can go into an allergy attack.

I saw fish tank cleaning gloves on the website & catalog of Doctors Foster & Smith..they are really long..they go allthe way up your arm...check them out...fairly inexpensive too..Petsmart/Petco may also carry them
