please help.I think my bettas Pearl and Halo had some eggs.this is what happened.Halos tank broke so i put her in with Pearl and three days later i see her pooping out these whitish clear things.are they eggs?

Did Pearl make a bubble nest? I think you should get a new place for Halo ASAP. I am not an expert on Betta Breeding ..but I do think you should get her out

yes if she did lay eggs and she stays with the male she doesnt have much time to live so should move her ASAP its hard to belive they mated after 3 days most of the time its a delicate process. again did the male make a bubble nest?

yes,pearl did make a big bubblenest.then he started putting them in the bubbles.and the ones that fall out,he eats them.

well get the female out ASAP and well u need to start to think about about what your going to do with the fry u dont have much time

Your going to need a 40 gallon tank, and about 200 jars or so. and a microworm culture, vinegar eel culture, and baby brine shrimp. Also, 2 2.5 gallon tanks w/ heaters for the female and male. and you will also need a LOT of medications (35$) or else all your bettas are as good as dead.

Next time, do not be impulsive. I'm praying you are very wealthy.

Oh and, a plan to find homes for the babies is also good.

And he is not eating the eggs, he is putting them back in the nest. He doesnt have a basket, so he uses his mouth.

Maybe some people on this forum will adopt the fry. You should post an add or something. Also, if you cand afford another tank for the female, you could get a divider and seperate them. You have a 45 gal right? If you get a lot of dividers, you could also house some fry. Hope this helps.

You cant transfer fry, they need to eat almost 24/7.

Also, without the medications, the female will die because spawning is painful and gives them wounds. The male will die also, because he will go into a deep depression and become very prone to disease
