Exclamation Aqueon Evolve 4 questions

Hello!

Rather new here but not to bettas. At one point I had 20+ but now I try and keep it to just 2 buddies.

Due to a new chronic illness my strength has taken a turn and I am looking to find a tank with a filter. Right now Filbert and Gus are in 3 gallon Kritter Keepers with a heater. However, I am having a hard time with the 100% water change weekly (the other one I do during the week is 25% which isn't bad). The tanks are above shoulder height and it's taking me a good while to take cups of water back and forth between the tanks and the sink just to make it light enough for me to carry.

So I was looking for tanks with filters and I have been looking for a visual improvement over the KKs and found this tank and love the way it looks. I know I'll still be doing water changes but if I could increase the time in-between I could plan to get help from someone.

A couple of questions:

1) I know even on the lowest setting the current is still too strong for some bettas. I read that people fixed it by cutting holes in the filter tubing. A) Does this really help? B) Did you cut the actual tube it came with or did you have to go out and buy a new tube and cut that?

2) Could anyone with a ruler handy tell me how wide/long it actually is from front to back? It would be on a shelf that has a raised ledge and I wouldn't want it if it had to teeter on that.

3) Are these the same tanks or no?
Aqueon® Evolve 4™ nano All-Inclusive Desktop Aquarium with LED versus Aqueon Evolve 4 LED Aquarium Kit, 4 gallons
The 'nano' is throwing me off.

4) Would the Hydor 25W Submersible Aquarium Heater - Original Theo (the ones I own) fit nicely in the back compartment?

Myself and Filberto and Grumpy Gus would much appreciate any help! Some cute photos to entice you? :D (If not allowed please remove!)

Thanks!

i currently own the aqueon evolve 4. heres some info and my opinion.
-what i did was cut three holes down the side of tube smaller than 1/4 inch,
and also put a piece of sponge in the out put spout. the
spout can be pulled off from inside the tank. the flow is
now perfect.
-i measured mine with a tape measure, 9.5 x 9.5 x 9.5
-from the info i found these look to be the same tanks.
-being that the heater is 10 inches, i dont think it will fit.
you may be able to get it in sideways, but without owning that heater
i couldnt say for sure.
now my thoughts...
ive owned this tank now for a little over a month. i love the tank overall,
my beta seems very happy. its a great fit for a tight spot and gives your
betta just enough room to move around. the tank is not a true 4 gallon
due to the fact the filter area holds about a gallon and the main tank area
a little over 3. im ready to upgrade though. i feel that my betta truly needs
more room. i would only recommend this tank if space is an issue. also
get a gravel vac and 5 gallon bucket, it makes water changes a breeze.
