Teddy Bear Betta container : (

One more container to be outraged about:

http://www.petfooddirect.com/product...e&Extcid=CSEAZ

I think this rates as a new low.

It's a bit silly, but if it really is 1 gallon, it's no different than some of the bowls used here on the forum. You can keep a betta in 1 gallon, it's just difficult.

Haha ... I thought that was funny too ... guess the plush animal has a hole in the mouth. Good luck getting your fingers and food in.

I don't think there's going to be much air going in for the fish to breathe, a silly but cute kind of idea....if you use it for a candy bowl :)

Even if some bettas do well in a one gallon, a big issue I see with this is that I doubt someone who buys it will keep up with enough water changes for the environment to be safe and clean.

Now, just imagine when that betta gets picked up by some small child and either tossed around mercilessly (is there a lid on the container?) or spilt into the floor and dies. Ugh, that's disgusting and horrible. Why are bettas considered to be Ornaments instead of living animals deserving of respect and care?! I mean, it's bad with goldfish, but at least people seem to view them as *animals* and not just decorative objects!

you know, when I first saw that come out, I thought..awww, cute. Then, I started a family of bettas. Now, picturing kids (as, I have 5)...I see that teddy bear pulled, thrown, slapped from side to side, slept with, hugged extensively and, of course, sitting on a shelf when the kid gets sick of it.

Whomever thought up this idea either, has kids duct taped to walls or doesn't have kids at all.

Just my opinion--but, you don't want to see what the fuzzy frog looks like up in my daughter's room.
