Phosphate remover to eliminate algae

I was having a problem with algae growth in my tank and finally tried a phosphate remover to help... I have not had algae since even with my strong lighting...

I used PURA PhosLock - Anyone used this to control algae growth? Working great for me so far.

Nope, I just changed my lighting schedule & added a couple nerite snails. Glad to hear something works if needed.

how did the plants respond to the use of the phosphate remover? plants require phosphates to grow and if you limit these the plants will suffer
