Tubifex worms

So who feeds these?

I had ordered one jar that I was going to split between my office Betta and my three at home Bettas, just for the occasional snack once a week or so, and I'm glad I only got the one jar, because so far they have not gone over well. They all seemed interested at first, especially Chai Son (the "baby") but once they started trying to eat the little part of the cube that I had pinched off and the little worms started going everywhere, they didn't seem to know which way to swim and basically lost interest.

Do my guys (and girls) just need to get with it, or is this typical? Share, please!

i've fed my fish live ones. the cubes are better for feeding a community tank, IMO. I know some hobbyists smoosh them onto the glass for small fish to pick at

Hmm ... thanks for your input. I think I may have to draw the line at live food, but assuming I took one cube and shaved just a tiny piece off to offer to each individual fish (which is what I did), wouldn't that be the same thing as feeding an entire cube to a community tank? Do some Bettas just not like them, or are my four odd?

I think the FD ones look kind of... tasteless. haha
I just tried some I got a while a go from a swap meet. My betta took a bit then spat it out. tried anothe piece and spat it out. then he just gave up.

I can tell you that my betta eats ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING.

They're probably just not very apetizing :P

Thanks, Aokashi! I think I'll just toss them out then - they seem to really love their Omega One or NLS pellets, plus the frozen brine shrimp and blood worms. I also got some frozen beef heart and some frozen mysis shrimp so I'm going to try those out as well.
