I saw a pair of betta macrostoma for sale in my LFS today. I almost died, and seriously wished I had the $200 they were being sold for. The guy who works there and got them in stock told the owner that if they didn't sell in 1 month he'd buy them. So hopefully he'll buy them and then breed them and I can get some :D

Seriously, seriously incredible looking fish.

those are my favorite wilds. i liek their mouths XD

i hate how they have the highest possible prices...but they're wicked rare, right? like endangered or something? i think i read that somewhere but im nto sure.

Yeah, they're very tricky to breed, so most of them are wild caught, and they aren't easy to find in the wild either.

i see

thats so awesome though that a store near you has them for sale though. i have yet to see wild bettas in a store.
