Is there any truely 100% silent filters?

I would love to have a 5-10gal on my nightstand, but I'm very sensitive to noise at night. Even the tiniest bit drives me crazy.

When I bought my current tank, I actually set it up on my nightstand, but the humming was too loud and I quickly moved it to another room.

My current filter is an "Aqua-Tech 5-15"

Tetra Whisper Internal filters. They are, by far, the most silent filters I've ever owned.

I have a TOM internal filter and I can't hear a thing when it's fully submerged.

Got this too for my 5g...I love it. My tank is also in my bedroom and it's by far the quietest filter I've had (I've been through three since Feb lol, including a Whisper). Another thing I love about it is that there's no need to baffle it.

Our filters are the Aquatopia brand that came with our tanks and they are very good & quiet.I like to have the spray bar a little above the water line for the bubbles & the only noise I hear is the water trickling, which is very nice.

I have two tanks (a 5 gallon and a 10 gallon divided) in my bedroom. The 5 gallon is running with the Tetra Whisper that came with the kit (got it at Wal-Mart). The 10 gallon kit came with another filter that I can't remember the name of, and my divided set up is done with plexiglass instead of mesh, so I needed two filters, one for each half. For that tank, I got two Fluval Nanos. Both are very quiet, but the Whisper is definitely the quieter of the two. I can't hear it at all. The Nanos I got because they were supposed to be well-suited for shrimp and delicate fish - they have this little arm that comes out and makes like a little waterfall - both my girls seem to love this and spend a lot of time playing in the filter.

You can see those filters in this pic here (but unfortunately you can't see the little arms that come out because they're clear):
