5* figther to HM

what would be the result??
5* fighter to HM = f1
f1 to 5* = f2
f2 can win agiant 5 star betta??
f2 have the 5Star gene?
I don't support fighting or anything like that
f2 might have hmpk and pk
F2 to hm = f3 Hm and hmpk
So on Halfmoon with 5 star gene

I think 5* is mainly just a measure for fighting ability and can only be tested by fighting. So if you say a fish is 5* and never test it even though its parents were 5* the fry cant be called 5* unless theyve proven themselves.

I dont think f2 could win against a 5* because its ability has been dilute by show bred blood. The extra finnage and bigger bodies would help to make the "5* HM" lose against a real 5* fighter

that a good point! Mainly f2 will lose but have strong gene in f2
so let say f2 cross to a 5* winner = f3
what would happen if f3 possibility win against 5*. If the f3 won he would breed to a 5* star female. that would be f4. How about the tail type. Hmpk and plaket. f4 have strongest gene but diluted by show bred. If the f2 survive then Breed he/she to f4 = F5.
F5 male have a chance to win. I want to learn about betta gene. if the f5 have good fighting form and tested. F5 can breed to a regular fighter.
It about descendant and line. f6 to f3 = strong fighter. I call this strong figther f7. F7 breed to Halfmoon. hmpk have fighter gene. Im trying create a Hmpk with 5* star.

What's the point?
Since I don't support fighting them, I will only suggest you keep them separate - 5* x 5* and HM x HM

There is no point to this. You would not get good fighters nor good show fish.

If you do not support fighting bettas, why do you keep talking about "testing" the fish and breeding the ones that "survive" and "win?"

Also, your breeding strategy has some holes in it. You plan to start off by crossing a HM to a 5*, which, if I understand correctly, is a traditional PK. The HM gene is recessive. The F1 wouldn't show the HM trait. You would need to cross the F1 back to a HM for any chance of getting HMPK. But you aren't doing that. Instead, you take that F1 and breed it back to a traditional PK. And all the subsequent generations would be bred back to traditional PKs again and again. You wouldn't be getting any HMPK that way...

I thought plakat was recessive and the F1 would all be long finned. Either way, this sounds kind of a stretch to me. Fry are hard enough to rear. Let alone some 5* X HM eight generation worth of fry. I don't mean to sound negative but unless you are very experienced in breeding then none of this is likely...

Yeah I also cannot see a point. Are you trying to breed fish you intend to fight, or as a way of 'toughening up' a HM line.

I don't know what would be so appealing about HM/HMPK with 5* genes. Most people who want to buy those tail types are either looking for an attractive pet or a show quality fish.
