1. Plug heater in.
2. Set the temperature using the blue dial.
3. Wait about 12-24 hours.
4. Check the temperature of the tank water.
5. Unplug heater.
6. Rotate red calibration dial on the heater to the tank water temperature.
7. Plug heater back in.
8. Done.

Have you tried the above steps?

Yeah, all of them. Did you watch the video? I have let it sit for about three days and done every single one of those things. I know what to do, it's just that the red dial won't turn to the temp I measured.

I noticed that you actually posted about the same problem not long ago. The dial is caught on the stop and I can't push it over that far. How did you fix this? its so frustrating!

Sorry to hear that.

Actually, I returned that heater for another Jager; I assumed it was defective. The new one doesn't have the same problem; it works great! I even bought another one for my larger tank and it works fine as well.

It sounds like your heater may have the same problem mine had. If it's still within the return period you can exchange it for a new one. Or, if the heater works normally, aside from the temp offset, you could keep it. You wouldn't be changing the water temperature that often any how.

Personally, I would return it as defective and get a new one. These are excellent heaters if you get a good one. Very reliable and precise.
