He looks like a delta. Can you get a picture of him flaring?

If you have other bettas, try pushing his tank against theirs or cup and float/place him next to them. Some bettas don't respond to mirrors, but most will go crazy at the sight of another betta.

He does seem like a delta though. Delta tails look like that when they're not flaring.

I'm thinking Impulse or Pusley because he was pretty much an Impulse buy and he kind of looks kind of electrically

He does look kinda young tho so his fins might not be fully grown!! he looks like my HM when I first got him!!

I don't think he's really an HM his tail barely spreads he flared briefly at the mirror then swam around quickly in his tank, I'm thinking he's kind of Deltaish

It is a possibility, but he looks a little far from 180 degrees... It might grow more, but not likely to a HM.

Watch those black edges, I know some bettas have black edges as part of their natural colouration, but it could be the beginning of finrot.

The black edges were there when I got him, and are still there, it doesnt look like the fins are rotting though theyre still like round and smooth looking
