Any good heater recommendations?

I need a good heater for my 5.5 gallon. I've tried a few (Top Fin for up to 5 gallons and the Marina betta heater) but none of them have worked. They claim to be able to heat my sized tank, but it doesn't even bring the water up a few degrees.

Does anyone have any good recommendations? I'd prefer to not spend a ton of money on one, I know some can get up to $40+.

Hydor theo 50 watt works great.. i have 6 of these and never had a problem. Pet mountain has them for $14 which is the best deal I've seen.

If the 25 watt has trouble heating the tank get a 50 watt heater. I have a 50 watt in my 5.5 gallon and it keeps nice and steady at 78. I recommend hydor theo or eheim jager. The hydor theo 25 watt and 50 watt are also the same size.

After buying a third heater that doesn't work from Petsmart, I ordered a Hydor theo. Right now I have two small heaters going to try and keep the temp. up until the new heater comes. Thanks for the help! I've never heard of petmountain.com before, but it has great deals!

Hydor Theos are great heaters! I have one in each of my 5.5g tanks and love them. Very reliable. Thanks to all the people of this forum who recommended them to me a few months ago. :)
