Question Contaminated food?

Ok I'm not to sure if this should go here but as I was feeding Draven and my cat thought it would be fun to stick his head in the food container and eat some, I don't know if I should remove the top layer of the pellets in case of contamination or just leave it? Any advice would be much loved :)

Did the pellets get wet at all? (From his saliva, etc.) If so, you may want to remove anything wet, so that they don't start decomposing or rotting.

As Little Blue Fishlets said, if its wet take it out. Otherwise, unless your cat is radioactive, made of soap, or had just eaten a dead bird in the yard... its probably okay.
