argh! falling filter.

So i have a tetra whisper 3i that came with the 3.5 gallon tank i bought for my crowntail. But the dang thing is only help up with suction cups and (im guessing because of the vibrations) it keeps falling over and it's super frustrating. anybody have any ideas on how to keep it from doing this until i can get some sealant?

One thing to try would be to partially drain the tank and attach the suction cups while they're not underwater... This creates a bubble of air inside of the suction cup and supposedly increases the suction holding the cup to the side of the tank once you've filled the rest of the tank with water. I haven't tried this yet, but the reasoning from the article where I read it seems sound.
