I was shocked! I had no idea what to do lol. I panicked and put him in a glass tea pot at first haha. now he is in a 3.5 g with an air stone and a plant. I have no idea what to do with him but I'm figuring it out as I go.
That 3.5 gallon will be fine if you keep it to around 3 adults. Make sure the ratio stays at 1 male per 2 females. A male can easily tire a lone female out and kill her from exhaustion.
Please note that they are PROLIFIC breeders, but will readily eat their fry so the numbers can be kept down in a small tank. Just know that you'll probably end up with a fully stocked 3.5 gallon after this is all said and done. If you want less guppies, just don't invest in much fry cover.
For diet, I just fed my guppies Tetra Color Tropical Flakes. I also got some powdered Veggie Mix off of Aquabid.
I used to breed guppies a while ago, so this is all from personal experience! ^_^
If i get a 10 gallon tank, how many guppies can I have in it? Also, Can I keep a tank with just one gender? I have no desire to raise any other fry and I do not support cannibalism :P what temp should they be at? How many can I keep in a 5 gallon? Also, it is not filtered, is this ok?
