Question New tank and I've got a few questions

So I just set up a ten gallon tank (biggest I've ever done for a beta thanks to the tips from you guys) and I've got this male marbled pastel double tail. His name is Mangetsu and he's been attacking the sides of the tank for six hours now. I'm wondering when he will stop and if I should be worried. This is the first time I've ever had a beta do this. Also I'm new guys so thanks. I'll post pics of him and the tank when I figure out how. So any one who can tell me how it's done from my Androids gallery will have my thanks.

If he has been attacking the sides for 6 hours he should be pretty stressed and tired by now. Have you tried putting things around the sides so that he can not see his reflection?

There's only two plants in the whole thing and some gravel. I plan to heavily plant it and get lots of hides. I should have waited to set it up but I didn't gave all the cash I , and I fell in love with him at petco. Plus I couldn't bear to leave him in the cup any longer.

I don't mean tank objects, sorry. I meant like taping paper or something solid around the outside of the tank where he is attacking his reflection.

I definitely understand the bare tank thing when buying a new betta on impulse. I actually just did that today. I had to get him, but right now he is in a 20 gallon with just water and a heater.

Very cute! Did putting some paper on the side of the tank get him to quit?

I think he's calming down a bit. Just hope he will be a calmer fish because I hope to out some Cory cats with him. Thanks for the help. Btw if you checked out the album is he a double tail, marbled, pastel?

While the picture quality is a little rough he appears to be a marbled double tail
