My own boy flares at everything and anything. I was asking for help on how to cover up his arch nemesis the heater not long ago. I find that with the sides of the tank the light inside might be brighter than the light in the room and it is making the sides into mirrors, I had the same issue, if you raise the room light or lower his OR put something white around the walls of the tank the reflection cancels out.
The last water change was Monday and I believe it's cloudy because it is cycling. The sides are covered in white and he still finds a way to flare up and attack. Out today I'm going to go and but some plants from my petshop. Hopefully the plants will cover up the sides and he won't kill the little Cory cats I'm getting.
Well, good news guys. Mangetsu has stopped and the tank is almost done. Today I'm going to go out and get some beta bulbs then I'm going to get my Cory cats. Also he hasn't eaten yet I'm pretty sure that's normal but I just want to make sure.
