Smile male doesn't wrap female long enough

I have about 50 beta's and they have spawned and I have sold fry to LFS. Now I'm using my betta's to spawn, but the males will not wrap the female long enough for her to release her eggs.
They both were conditioned and he has a nice bubblenest and she is going to him beneath the nest. She has her egg spot and keeps going back to the male to wrap her again. I leave them together for hours ( watching to make sure she is not injured by the male)
The male seems more interested in caring for his nest. They are brother and sister and are about 1 yr. old. I have this problem with different sets of males and females.
They are in a 10 gal. tank, with divider, java moss in the spawning side.
Any advice will be appreciated.

Is either of them a virgin? If so then they may be still learning and will take a few tries. If they don't line up just right they will release and try again.

+1 myates.
Let them be until they get it right or until they won't embrace anymore.
