Espom salt in planted tanks?

Will Espom salt treatments hurt a planted tank?
My HMPK is a bit bloated and I'm on guard. I could have accidently fed him twice today and today was his water change day.
His fins arent clamped and he is very active so if he is bloated I caught it early.
I plan to switch his diet to daphnia while he is bloated, Its mysis shrimp week.

Anyways back to the original question. 2.5g planted tank, heated. Hair Grass, Anubias Nana, sand.
If he is bloated I was hoping I could do espom salt treatments in the tank. Is this possible?

I'm pretty sure salts kill plants. Try floating him in the treatment?
