Question tidying the 5gallon tank

1.Whats the best way to start cycling the heated & filterd?
tank with moe hawk in. Moe hawk= crown tail male

2.would changing 3-4 cups every day or everyother day help with enuff water freshness to keep tidy enuff for him + sifining debris + a 50%water change once a week? Goal to keep ph in & water clean enuff for him yet keeping enuff good bacteria in the tank.

3.just put tank together the 27th of april...four days later ph in 8 range...then last two the last two days removed 3-4 cups & added 3-4cups of bottled water.

4.would tetra balencer be helpfull in cycling the tank?

5.with tetra aqua safe products is it safer to put a few gallons with aqua mix sit for a few befor adding to tank. Ive been adding like 4gallons of bottled water then 3-4cups of faucet water with four drops of aqua safe. 3rd to 4th day i noticed slight fin rot on tips of upper fin.

What are you talking about when you say "balance"? Using proper terminology and grammar really helps us answer... Just so you know. Do you have a filter? Do you have a heater?

For future reference, instead of posting three times, you can edit a post within twenty minutes of posting it.

So by balance in the tank clean & safe water/ ph
The the product tetra balance is a product to help ph.
Yes to heater 35.00$ + thermometer+ whisper filter system & led lighting. I have aquarium salt empsom salt. Hesitant & nervous as my guy neacco i had for 9months battled with finot issues which may have been from cleaning the tank to much. Even tho 50% water change as recommended & 25% once week.

A betta can't get fin rot from being to clean...

Do you use water conditioner? Unless your water is really really really messed up I would not add anything to alter the ph... Bettas are quite adaptable.

Well when putting the tank together i put bottled water in about 4gallons which is generally a ph of 6.0 & the city facet water is closer to 8.0 i never add drops that come with the kit....because of the water can be altered with gallon bottled water or faucet water.

So you are mixing bottled with tap? Why don't you just use plain tap... It would be a lot simpler. Ph swings can be very dangerous.
