Aquarium mirrors from inside - is this a problem?

I bought this 2.5g aquarium for a betta I rescued from a friend of mine.

I noticed the fish flip out a few times when it gets near the short ends, and I can see a mirror image from all four sides. Can he?

I really want to save this fish, which was underfed and has fin-rot. Will this tank cause him too much stress from those mirror images?

He has major holes in ventral fin, how do I treat that?

Get some dark paper and tape it up, it should help.

As for treatment...hmmm. Water quality has a GREAT deal to do with it, but if you notice it continuing after proper water changes then here's a good treatment.
