Yes, the egg spot is white, so it WOULD be hard to see on a white fish. I don't know at what age you should be able to see the egg spot on a female. I can barely see it on my female and she's a light pink.

turtles eat fish. especially shiny little ones.
i was fishing a pond for bass once and i kept catching red sliders on ym shiner

lol nevermind that then. i used to have this tiny turtle that was like 2inches long... thouth that might be better than putting other fish with her.... darn it.

I kept my female in a community tank, they aren't very aggressive. You shouldn't have trouble finding tank mates for her.
