Making Gradys life better!

My Betta Grady now has a new tank 4-gallons bigger than he did have. And I got him a heater :D And I did find a pet shop that has frozen fresh Brime Shrimp....And I gave him his first try of it the day I got home...He loved it and I will treat him with this once a week. He is very active and seems to be doing really well, but I have noticed his coloring isn't as bright as it was when I got him. Is this a bad sign? And also his fins are tithered mainly tail fins. Do I need to get something to help him? And what about Aquirium salt? Do I need to use it?

are your water parameters ok? and do you have any fake plants in the tank? if you do make sure that they arent catching on his fins and ripping his tail.

my betta's been having the same problems with the color fading

the fin could be ripping...if you notice it's getting shorter though, or it looks like it's being eaten away, then you have a problem. but it's most likely a ripped fin. i've heard to be sure to keep the water clean when that happens to prevent fin rot
