Post Betta Fish Terms 101

I know from experience that when you're new around here and see all the abbreviations, it can be a bit overwhelming. So, here are the ones you'll see most often.

Tail Types
CT- crowntail
VT- veiltail
HM- halfmoon
PK- plakat
DeT- delta tail
DT- doubletail

Other Terms
IAL- Indian Almond Leaf
S.I.P.- Swim in Peace
AB- AquaBid

That's all I know off the top of my head. Feel free to post if I missed anything!

I always thought the L stood for local? Such as local fish store and local pet store?

^ Same. I always used LFS/LPS to mean a local fish store or pet store as opposed to a big chain store like Petsmart or Petco that is nationwide. Because they all do sell live fish and other pets (even though it may not seem that way sometimes...)

Some abbreviations that I've come across:
SDeT - superdelta
DTVT - doubletail veiltail
HMDT/DTHM - doubletail halfmoon
AQ salt - aquarium salt
ES - epsom salt
WC - water change
VE - vinegar eel
OO - Omega One

LOL. Yes, it means local. Wow. My brain in not working today, sorry. I have been taking breaks from writing a 100 question final exam for my students to write on here. I'm not good at multitasking.
