is it ok to have a male and female in a divider tank. clear divider

It's probably fine. If they can see each other through the divider, they might stress each other out. If they keep flaring at one another, you can get some silk plants to place along the divider so they can't see each other.

thats what i plan on doing, i have 2 males (or will in a couple hours) and 1 female, 1 male is in a larger tank but the new male will be in a 2gallon and my female is only 8 weeks old, she is about an inch long and in a .5 gallon tank (dont worry she has pleanty of room right now) once she gets bigger im planning on getting a 5.5 gallon tetra tank, a sponge filter and dividing it (he will get 3 gallons, she will get 2.5) and putting plants along the divider (and one in each ones middle) so they dont get stressed.
