Just wondering

I was thinking.

If you guys were in the market for fish to put in your sororities and or male betta tanks that weren't bettas And you could find platies or swords with these qualities listed below, how much would you think is reasonable to pay or drive to pick them up?

Fish with great color, Guaranteed to be disease, parasitic, and fungal free. Guaranteed not to nip, harass or harm any other tank inhabitants, and great at picking uneaten food off the bottom. 100% friendly and come when you call baby fish where are you? And in the case of Females 99.9% chance of not being pregnant?

Just curious? Because honestly you wouldn't half to quarantine them would you? For long any way.

I would still quarantine, and any fish you could buy from the petstore could be that friendly, my fiance's guppies get excited if I so much as LOOK at them, and they're mostly petstore fish.

It's up to you what you think those fish would be worth, and how far is reasonable to drive to get them. Livebearers tend to be carriers of disease, and just because a fish isn't in the right conditions to exhibit illness, doesn't mean that once it's bagged and brought home, that it won't.

EXAMPLE:
Mike's dad bought some Discus that were carriers of discus plague and lost 3/4 of his fish... all but the ones who brought it in.

I am not talking about buying them myself I am the one who bred them lol.

I was getting a feel of what I should charge for them. Since My platy just dropped 40 more... :(

the 19 I have have been healthy since birth, But since they had been living in the main tank for a few months, I gave them a salt bath, because believe it or not, platies, swords, mollies, guppies like the salt. So I gave them a salt bath to make sure everything was ok. Because it only takes a spot of ick to kill a whole batch of fry. They also now live in my quarantine tank lol
