Balanced Betta Diet

I want to make sure I dont under/overfeed my betta. What I have at my disposal is some freeze dried blood worms and betta food pellets. As of now I give him 3 pellets in the morning and 1 at night with a broken up blood worm. Any advice you guys could give me would be appreciated.

What KIND of betta pellets? There's a good dang lot of em out there, and some are more balanced than others. You say you give him four pellets and a bloodworm, three pellets a DAY should be more than enough. Bloodworms are more of a treat. Does he look bloated/round around the belly? If so, you should probably fast him a day or two.

This is just my knowledge from betta sites like this one.

How many pellets you feed depends on the size of the pellet. Mine get 12-20 New Life Spectrum pellets per day. They'd starve to death on three or four. I feed frozen bloodworms a couple times a week at most. BTW, they are not fat.

My rule of thumb is to feed what they will eat; I don't leave them wanting more.
