Pop Eye from Shipping?

Hi,

I just got my girl in from east coast. Her name is Snow White, a HMPK, I think.

I am wondering if she got pop eye or injury from shipping.
It took off last wednesday and was due to arrive Sat. via Priority Mail. But things happened and USPO did not have them until yesterday. Then the postal deliverer decided to have her stay at the USPO for another night instead of leaving her at the door. I did not get to pick her up from USPO until this morning. I put her in a cup since I had to go to work.

Thank God they are alive and survived the 1 week trip...I thought they would be dead with the long trip.

Even more horrifying, I saw the postal lady threw boxes all over while digging for my box. Then when she found it, I remember she tossed the same box (my box) twice in the big bin as in up in the air and thump onto the pile of packages....I am getting over this trauma myself...poor girls, they are hardy for sure.

Any advise would be helpful. I am planning to get her into warm water (maybe 80F) with 5cc/1g ES & ParaGuard & Stress Coat+ since I see some scales floating in the original bag.

I will take more pictures of the other one, Nemo, when I get a chance. Nemo, a lavendar CT born without the ventral fins, is fine.

Poor little things. The idea of what happens during shipping horrifies me. I know how the post office treats boxes marked fragile...

I think what you're doing is good. I would even skip the Paraguard for now, and stick with the ES, warm clean water, and stresscoat. Tannins would be a good addition for both of them, to help with the stress of having gotten knocked around.

The swelling of white ring around the eye has subsided. She's eating fine with a great appetite. Phew she's hardy for sure.
