Rip in his fins? -has pictures-..wait..the holes are gone?

Ok so I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out why my bettas fins are ripped..they were ok when I got him.

and I noticed today they had a rip in the back that I hadn't seen before..
I tried to get pictures but it's only visable when he moves..and it always comes out blurry..

I know it's hard to see I'm sorry..

EDIT: I have proof there were holes and yesterday I looked and they were gone! in like a day and a half he is healed with no meds!
...My friends say I healed him with love hehe cute but I'm still confused...
even the bigger hole in his tail at the back is completely gone..

I dont think anything in there could hurt him...but I dont know..

Is he sick?

he dosn't seem any less active..he's still swimming around like he alway has..

i have heard of some bettas ripping their fins when they flare but i dont knwo what it looks like. are all his plants silk?

maybe because of the aquarium's decoration..
i'm not too sure :D

That is an odd location for a rip caused by a decoration. How long have you had him? If they get larger, more numerous, or you notice black or white edges, I would suspect fin rot and treat as such. If they begin to heal (you see clear fin regrowth) then I would suggest looking closer at any rough decorations in his tank. Good luck.

I haven't had him very long at all which is what worries me, I feel like I've done something wrong.

If I were to treat him for fin rot which is what I think it might be but he doesn't have it will it hurt him?

What's your water change schedule?

Every other day basically, there's been like one or two day's I've been to busy and had to skip a day and do it the next.

In a ten gallon tank that is fully cycled, you shouldn't have to do daily water changes. Once a week of say... 25% Is plenty.

I would put my money on fin rot. Unless you have plastic plants?

Oops!, I guess I should have added that stuff to my first post, My tank isn't cycled, thats why I've been doing the water changes so often. >.<

Alright, that makes sense then. Do you have water parameters? If so can you post them? As well as the type of test kit you are using.

Do you have plastic plants or anything like that?
