Artemis!

Got a new girl today, and she's suspected to be part wild!

A friend has one of her sisters and knowing the situation that she's in, I figured I'd get one before she would be put in the same situation by someone else.

There were 3 girls in the tank, so now one remains and I hope she goes to a good home!
They're easily not purebred splendens.
The store sells normal females and they're easily half the size, and are do not have the same body proportions. Even while my girl was acclimating in the sorority tank, she was bigger then the biggest female in there (and she's a giant!)

She's in her own 2 gallon bowl for now.
When I get home, the situation might change, but she's being kept alone until the tank is big enough to house the 5 girls.

Will post more pics when she colors up.

There are wild splendens too, so she typically could still be pure splendens even if she's part wild... But I don't really have an eye for that, so who knows? Maybe one of the members that keep wild bettas can tell you if she's a hybrid or not.

She's a really pretty girl though. Great find. ^^

Sometimes this shows up in a regular spawn, this is called throwback to the wild form it happens pretty frequently I am not thinking this is a wild I have a male and it looks exactly like my wild splendens only larger, same thing happened here.
