Question Lighting?

Hey guys I've asked tons of questions about this and there's probably already a post in here somewhere about this but I'm cleaning the slate and starting fresh as far as knowledge on lighting goes. So here's my question I have a 36 gallon bow front aquarium set up with low lighting and a few plants that my girls seem to love. The plants are doing fine but now I'd like to upgrade my lighting to medium to high light and add a ton more plants. So my question is what's the best lighting you guys could suggest for medium to high light and how do I figure out watts/lumens and all that to see what I need.

Well, I got t-5 lighting for my 46 gal bowfront and am very pleased, here I wrote a review on them here, , I am loving the light and how good my plants grow and the price from topdog sellers is hard to beat, a lot of people are all about the LED lights but I can't afford to spend 300 bucks on lights, the old school thing is watts per gallon I am doing about 2 watts per gal and I am doing fine and you want 6500k lighting for plant growth
