Very pretty!

What size is it? Is there a heater? I think I see a thermometer.

Do you plan on getting an actual Petco Baby Betta or just a regular young pet store betta?

It's a five gallon and I have a heating pad under the gravel, 'tis hiding.
And yes, there is a thermometer. I put some Tetra AquaSafe plus into the water as well.

I'm a little unsure about the plants though, they're silk but there's a bit of plastic pieces. I'm not sure if I should remove those pieces even though they are really soft :/ I guess I'm just being knit picky.

I have that same plant with the bits of plastic and it doesn't bother my betta's fins. :)

Wow i have the same tank with that same purple plant! The plastic part of the plant is soft enough so that it leaves my boy alone.

that's a relief. I was a bit worried.

I'm thinking about adding more hide spaces but I don't want it to be overkill.

I think it looks perfect. That big purple plant is plenty hiding space for that size tank. I have it in my 5g.

The green plants in front just accent the purple and the LEDs looks so cool. Plus, I love Marcelline peeking out in the first pic. xD

I do like it. :) I can't stop staring at it and the filter isn't loud at all. It's very calming.

I had goldfish when I was eight, but we weren't well educated in keeping fish, we had four in a tank which size I do not remember for it was a long long time ago.

they died after a few months and I was sad about it, but I didn't want to attempt it again.

Now that I'm older I felt this need to take care of something other then the two plant terrariums I have now. I wanted Koi but when I researched and realized that keeping them in a tank would just be cruel. the next logical thought was goldfish. I talked to a friend about it because she was training to be a vet and I wanted to know what she thought. She told me her experience as a child and how she had this betta fish and introduced it to a goldfish without knowing the consequences. It resulted in the loss of both.

But the way she kept talking about the Betta, the more I wanted to look into it, and so I researched and researched and fell in love. So I have her to thank really. I'm so excited about this and I hope I'll do right by him.
