Fin Rot? Need some help

Hey everyone! Toshu's been doing fine till recently. I was looking at him and noticed how the end of his tail fin is looking a bit ragged. My friend came over and said the same thing. I'm not sure what fin rot really is but i know my aunt had the same problem. I've only had Toshu for about a month, and bought him from Petsmart. Regardless I was wondering if someone could explain fin rot to me, maybe have pictures and help me understand how to treat it. Thanks for the help! I wait eagarly, I'll be going to petsmart saturday and need to know what to buy for him! Thanks

Finrot comes mostly from dirty water but can be caused by temperature fluctuations and stress, too. The fins and tail seem to be getting shorter and shorter or falling apart. The edges may be darker or red.I used Betta Fix on my betta and it worked for me. Other people have had no luck with it though.You could also try Jungle Fungus Eliminator.
