What I see right now is making me lean towards male though (that sort of finnage says male plakat).
That's why I was having trouble deciding what to do. Up until the past few days with the bubble nest guarding & growth spurt he/she has gotten along with the girls really well & even put a few in their place when they were acting up.

Ok, so it looks like everyone is leaning towards male. Well, Gidget will need a new name then, lol. I have plans to upgrade tanks so I'll have room for one more male anyway. The girls tank will be divided & the girls will be getting a bigger tank.

Lol, now you know why I had to ask everyone on this site. I couldn't decide.

Male. I have very little doubt in my mind.

Long finned means not plakat. He has an awesome doral if he is a vt, you'll have to wait for his fins to grow out more to know tail type for sure!

Thank you for the explanation. It's odd that they all got along. It was a nice balance because Gidget kept the girls in line when they acted up. Guess they will have to live without him now.

I just got Gidget set up in the hospital tank & set it next to the sorority tank. He's not happy & wants to get back in the girls' tank. The girls seemed to relax as soon as I removed him though.
